Can I get a root touch-up while pregnant?

Doctors generally recommend avoiding chemical procedures during the first 3 months of pregnancy (first trimester). From the 4th month onwards, techniques that do not touch the scalp or herbal-based, ammonia-free dyes can be preferred. I have highlights/balayage in my hair, can root touch-up be done?

Yes, it can be done and is even necessary. However, in highlighted hair, instead of solid color, “base breaking” or “root melt” (root shadow) processes are generally preferred. In this way, a soft transition is achieved between your dark natural color and blonde ends, and no sharp line occurs.

How long does the root touch-up process take?

The root touch-up process is completed in 1 to 1.5 hours on average, including application and processing time. You can refresh your hair by taking a short break even on a busy day.

Does the dye leave stains on my skin?
